December 14, 2017

Perhaps you have been writing blog posts for a while or perhaps you are just beginning, either way there is always something to learn to improve your writing.  What is missing from your blog posts?  What could make your posts better?  How can you get them seen by more eyes?  There are multiple best practices when it comes to both writing as well as Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  We want to help you polish your online presence and make the most of every piece of content you create.  You can begin by downloading our two free checklists below.  From there, you will be well on your way to making the most of your blog.

Start with original content that will pull the reader in and keep them on the page as long as possible.  You should never copy and paste anyone else’s work into your site.  If you want to feature others when writing, there are proper methods for doing so.  Text and photos from other sites fall under copyright laws.  There is no reason to endanger your business with poor practices.  Be sure to sign up here to download our free best blog post practices checklist.  Following these tips will help to pull your reader in with creative content that fits your brand and is properly cited.

Now that you have that amazing content, how do you get it seen by as many eyes as possible?  Social media is one way, however, the easiest thing to do for your blog posts is to practice good SEO practices.  These are items that are completely under your control and can give your content a boost from the start.  The research of a good keyword is the place to begin and is paramount to success.  Then you can help to ensure that Google sees you as an authority on that keyword by optimizing each and every post.  We suggest filling out our organic SEO checklist every time you sit down to write.  You can sign up here to download it for free.

Between these two checklists, the content on your site can start working for you.  Bringing those fans into your website so that you can then convert them into customers.  So what did you find is missing from your blog posts?  We are confident that if you scour our checklists and your content that you find pieces that you are missing from the puzzle.  These pieces can be key to your brand and your success.
